Baking Arts (cooking class)
I took a french macaroon class at Baking Arts tonight. Richard Festen is the owner/chef of this school and he has created a wonderful kitchen with plenty of space, light and equipment for learning how to create and bake just about anything. He gave us heaps of tips for making the perfect-looking, crispy and delicious french macaroon in a matter of 2 hours. We each took a box of macaroons home along with all of the recipes. I want to go back and take more classes! I think I will take his croissant or tarts class next. The classes are not cheap ($90/class) but the instruction seems worth the price it if you like to bake.
