Kathryn Kennedy's Lateral (Napa, 2008) - Bordeaux blend

I picked this up at K & L wines the other day, it was one of their staff picks.  The Lateral is a blend of mostly Cabernet Franc and Merlot, made entirely with Napa Valley fruit.  My best description of the flavors are herbaceous and pipe tobacco-ey.  We drank it with a bolognese and it was VERY tasty!  It was $32 a bottle.

If you haven't been to K & L before, I highly recommend it.  The staff are very knowledgeable and the "staff picks" are well-described and offered at a variety of prices.  I usually stop by here when I am after some good french or italian wines and have no idea what I am looking for.
