They were featuring California, Vermont and Midwest flights of cheese. Being the loyal west-coasters that we are, we went Californian. We had a soft blue cheese (Humboldt Fog) and two firm cow cheeses that were delicious. The cheeses were served with bread, figs, apricots and dried cherries. To follow the cheese we split a sandwich called the California Gold which is a gorgeous mixture of San Joaquin Gold, chevre, prosciutto and fig preserves all melted together on toasted whole grain bread.
The only downside to this place was that they stop serving food and beer/wine at 8pm. We had barely just gotten started with our cheese love affair when we were booted out! Not sure if this is a permit thing (I will give them the benefit of the doubt for now), but I sure hope that changes soon because I would love to return!
