Aperto is definitely our neighborhood go-to but it not just any ordinary Italian food, they do great Californian-Italian-inspired pastas, grilled fish and roasted meats. The standard menu alone keeps me satisfied but their specials are always worth a try! My favorite dish currently on the menu is an occhiette pasta with brocolli rabe, pancetta and cauliflower in a very light butter broth. Phil always loves their soup special for a starter and then orders the osso bucco or meat special of the evening. Also, I highly recommend you try their beet salad, roasted chicken, or papardelle with mushroom-leek ragu.
